Hi folks,
I know I'm usually pestering you about sending in advocacy news for Dirt Rag, but I'm now writing to ask a bit of help. In short, we're looking for some national support for our land purchase, and I think that there might be some of you and your members who'd like to assist us.
Help Mountain Bikers Buy MTB Land!
The New England Mountain Bike Association invites you to check out our latest initiative to promote and protect mountain biking--buying 47 acres of prime mountain bike land known as "Vietnam."
Located in Milford, Massachusetts, NEMBA has signed a "Purchase & Sale Option" and has raised $110,000 of the $200K we need to complete the purchase. We have until next October to execute the closing. This will be the largest contribution mountain bikers have ever made to open space preservation and will be the first time that a mountain bike group own and manages its own trails. The possibilities are tremendous!
Check out our cool video and webpage on this historic land purchase at http://www.nemba.org/nembaevents/vietnamlandpurchase.html
But we need your help!
Support from the mountain bike community and bike industry is important. Please consider doing any of the following to lend a hand:
Sincerely,
Philip Keyes
