The starting points for each ride are listed on both the calendar and on the cue sheet for each ride. Many rides start from the same place. The following descriptions assume that you may be a newcomer to Asheville.
| Atkinson
Elementary School, 2510 Kanuga Road, Hendersonville |
Ride starts at the school. From Asheville, take I-26 to Exit 18-B, toward Hendersonville. Stay on Route 64 West about 2 ½ miles, take a left onto Church Street [the 4th stop light after the road splits from 2-way traffic to one-way traffic]. Caution: Church Street is one-way traffic. Go .9 miles and take a right onto Kanuga Road. Go 3.5 miles, turn right onto Price Road. At the stop sign turn left onto Old Kanuga Road. Atkinson School will be about 1½ miles down on the left side. |
| Bethel (Cold Mountain) | Take 1-40, exit 31 (Canton, Route 215) and follow Route 215 South for 8.4 miles, to the Bethel Blue Demons ball field. Watch for frequent turns! If you get to US-276, you've gone too far. |
| Biltmore Lake
(Formerly Enka Lake) in Enka |
From Asheville take I-40 and get off at exit 44. Go 1.8 miles on 19/23 S and turn left on Route 112/Sand Hill Road. Go 0.5 miles and turn right on Lake Dr and go 0.4 miles to cemetery over looking lake and park next to fence. |
| Cane Creek

Ride begins at Cane Creek Cycling Components on Cane Creek Road one mile SW of the traffic light at the intersection of Cane Creek and Mills Gap Road. This ride is not sanctioned by Cane Creek Cycling Components. |
| Canton Recreation Park | Ride begins at the Canton Recreation Park on Penland Street / Route 215 in Canton. |
| Fletcher Community Park | Ride begins at the Community Park on
Howard Gap Road, 0.3 miles from the traffic light on
Hendersonville Road in Fletcher. When heading south on
Hendersonville Road, turn left at the traffic light onto
Howard Gap Rd, go 0.3 miles, and turn left into Fletcher
Community Park. Alternately, take I-26 to exit 9, Airport Road. Turn onto Highway 280 East (away from the airport). Drive 1.9 miles and turn right at traffic light onto Highway 25 South. Drive 2.2 miles, then turn left at the traffic light onto Howard Gap Road. After you cross the railroad tracks, Fletcher Park is on the left. |
| Folk Art Center 382 Blue Ridge Parkway Asheville, NC 28805 |
The Folk Art Center is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Oteen. Take Tunnel Road/ U.S. 70 to where the Parkway crosses over and follow the signs to the Folk Art Center. Park car in public parking lot and walk bicycle to rear service entrance on Riceville Road. |
| French Broad Riverside Park | Ride begins at the French Broad Riverside Park on Amboy Road |
| Glen Bridge River Park | Ride begins at the Glen Bridge River Park on the French Broad River on Pinner Road. Coming from Asheville, at the intersection of Hendersonville Rd and Glen Bridge Rd (1.4 miles south of Long Shoals Rd), turn right on Glen Bridge Road, go 2 miles, and turn left on Pinner Road. Go 0.6 miles on Pinner and turn right into Glen Bridge River Park. |
| Henderson
County Courthouse 1st Ave and S Grove Street, Hendersonville |
This ride starts at the Henderson County Courthouse located at 1st Ave and S Grove Street in downtown Hendersonville. From Asheville, take I-26 to Exit 18-B, toward Hendersonville. Stay on Route 64 West until the road splits [about 2 miles] from two-way traffic to one-way traffic. At the next stop light, turn left. The court house is 4 blocks down on the left. |
| Henderson
County YMCA 6th Ave and Oak Street, Hendersonville |

| Homestead
Farm Store Naples Road Fletcher, NC 28732 (828) 684-1155 |
The Homestead Farm Store is on Naples Road across from the Park Ridge Hospital. Take I-26 south from Asheville, Exit 13. Turn right on Highway 25 south. At Diamond Brand, turn left on Naples Road and follow it until you see Homestead Farm Store on the left. Park as far out of the way as possible. The owners are "bike friendly," so patronize these good folks. |
| Ingles in Black

Ride begins at Ingles in Black Mountain on Route 9 just south of I-40 |
| Ingles in Etowah | Take I-26 south from Asheville, Exit 9,
the Airport Exit. Turn right and go west on Highway 280
for 10.7 miles, then turn left onto Brickyard Road.
Follow Brickyard until it ends at Highway 64. Turn left
on Highway 64. Ingles is on the right just after the
tracks. From Hendersonville go 9 miles on Route 64 West to Ingles. |
| Jack's Creek Burnsville, NC |
Jack's Creek is outside of Burnsville. We meet at the intersection of Jack's Creek Road and US19E, about 2.75 miles from Burnsville. Park across the road from Blossman Gas Inc. |
| Ledges Park, Riverside Drive | Ledges Park is a very small and easy-to-miss county park on Riverside Drive/ Route 251. Drive from Asheville on Riverside Drive, past Woodfin, until you come to a stop sign. Bear left, heading north, on Highway 251. Ledges Park will be up the road a ways on the left. If you see the Post Office and sign for the Town of Alexander, you have gone a mile too far. |

MAHEC Family Health Center is 0.8 miles west of Merrimon Avenue, or just beyond the UNCA traffic round-about if coming from Broadway. Please park in the far right lot by the street. |
| Mills River Restaurant | Ride begins at the Mills River Restaurant located at the intersection of Route 280 and Route 191 in Henderson County. |
| Saluda Town Parking Lot | Ride begins at the Saluda town parking lot on Greenville Rd just across railroad tracks opposite Main Street / US 176 in Saluda. From Asheville, take I-26 East to the Saluda exit. Turn right, go right at the T-intersection, into Saluda. |
| Stuckey's DQ Inc.
I-40 Exit 75 |
Ride begins at Exit 75 on I-40, between Old Fort and Marion about 24 miles from Asheville. Park in grassy area on north side of I-40 across from the Stuckey store. |
| TGI-Friday's 115 Hendersonville Rd, Asheville 28803 |
Meet at the back right parking lot behind TGI-Fridays on Hendersonville Road, Asheville, about ½ mile North of 1-40. |
| Highway 280 & Turkey Pen Road | Taking I-26 south from Asheville, take Exit 9, the Airport Exit, and follow Highway 280 for 9 miles. Turkey Pen Road is located on the right of Highway 280, 6.3 miles west of the junction with Haywood Road/Route 191. (just before you get to the Transylvania county line). Be careful turning off the highway because cars are traveling fast behind you. Park in the grassy areas of the school bus turn-around. |
| WNC Nature
Center 75 Gashes Creek Road Asheville, NC 28805 |
The WNC Nature Center is located just off Swannanoa River Road. Take 1-240, exit 8 and head east on US 74-A (Fairview Road). At NC81 (Swannanoa River Road), turn right. In less than a mile, turn right on Gashes Creek Road. Take another immediate right over the bridge. The Nature Center is 0.2 miles up the hill. Note: Nature Center parking lots are gated at 5pm, so park on the street if necessary. |
