The following letter was received by the BRBC on Friday, June 18. Please read this letter and pass the word around to all cyclists that you know.
From the Town of Biltmore Forest
To all interested parties,
We would appreciate your assistance in making the following information known to cyclists who ride inside the Town of Biltmore Forest. Presently a good deal of bicycling is taking place in the Town and a number of cyclists have been found not following basic traffic rules, thereby creating safety problems.
The Town has installed signs reminding cyclists to ride in single file through the Town and that all cyclists must comply with State Traffic Laws, which will be enforced by the Town of Biltmore Forest.
The Mayor and Commissioners are very concerned about this issue and want it brought to the attention of all interested parties via local bicycle shops, clubs, and cyclists.
Thanks for your assistance in keeping Biltmore Forest's roadways safe for everyone.
