A note from Wes Garbee about the status of the Spring Fat Burners for 2008:

this time of year has always been a planning time for me; to begin thinking
about all day leisurely mountain rides between cold and hot weather; to get
a handle on the winter doldrums; and to begin riding with so many old
friends that have given meaning to my cycling.
i can't thank you enough for all the support you have given me since my
mishap 5/29/07 - 8 months ago !!! i am progressing nicely but i truly do
not think i will be up to doing weekly 100 mile treks as we have done the
past 18 years during april and may.
i dont want to burden anyone with the project, but if someone wishes to
organize this years spring fatburners, all the maps are now on the brbc web
site thanks to ralph.
just wanted to let you know that i will not be doing them.
