Century Training Series, 2008

These unsupported, high intensity training rides are for experienced, advanced road cyclists seriously interested in training for the Assault on Mount Mitchell and/or any of the season's upcoming century rides. This series consists of different routes each week, approximately 100 miles each, from April 8 thru June 3.

We will begin PROMPTLY at 8:00am from the ride start. Show up early at the ride start listed on the cue sheet. Bring a cue sheet!! Remember that rides shown on the cue sheet as leaving from the Baptist church will actually leave from Innsbruck Mall instead. Carpooling is up to individuals.

The pace will be 17-19 mph on the flats, we will regroup briefly at the top of some climbs. Riders unable to keep this pace will not have a leader and will need to form their own group(s), or may be dropped. Anticipated total ride time is approximately 7-8 hours, not including brief breaks.

Helmets are required. Riders should carry emergency contact and insurance information as well as their own food and drinks. Non-BRBC members must sign a release waiver at the start of each ride.

Cue sheets are available online for these rides.
