This is a scenic ride with Pisgah Forest sections on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Hwy 276 and Hwy 215. Headlight and taillights are required for the BRP tunnels and/or fog. One of the club‘s favorite rides with beautiful scenery as we ride along Lake Logan past Sunburst Falls then up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once on the BRB we ride for approximately 10 miles before a screaming descent on Hwy. 215 back to Canton. Water & Food – there are no store stops or bathroom options other than trees. At 13 miles, there is a natural spring on the right side of the road. Options: two water bottles and a camelback or, a 3rd bottle in your back pocket. Reminder – cyclists must ride single file on the Blue Ridge Parkway, other than when passing. In the tunnel, switch your flashing headlight to a solid shine. The flashing in a tunnel is a challenge for some cyclists. Celebrate After Ride - BearWaters Brewery, 339 Park Street, Canton, NC.
