Pink Beds Trail Parking Lot,
Starting at the Pink Beds parking area this route climbs past the Blue Ridge Parkway descending into Cruso, then up Highway 215 to the Parkway. The route follows the Blue Ridge Parkway for around 12 miles then descends back down Hwy 276 to the Pink Beds starting point. This route has a lot of climbing with 5,640 feet of elevation over 51.6 miles. Bring food and water for a tough ride. Rest stop at the convenience store in Cruso, mile 18.
Pink Beds Trailhead Parking Lot
Starting at the Pink Beds parking area this route climbs past the Blue Ridge Parkway descending into Cruso, then up Highway 215 to the Parkway. The route follows the Blue Ridge Parkway for around 12 miles then descends back down Hwy 276 to the Pink Beds starting point.

A beautiful ride using the "side door" into Marshall with a return through scenic Jenkins Valley. Optional stop for coffee and snacks a the "On Your Bike" shop in Marshall.
Starts at Etowah Park, 447 Etowah School Rd, Etowah NC 28739. A mostly flat ride which visits Looking Glass Falls in the Pisgah National Forest.

The 2024 Burnsville Metric is a fully supported fundraising ride benefitting our local NICA team and local EMS and Fire services. It will be held Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at 9:00 AM. This year we will be offering several routes ranging from 65 km up to 100 km.

Scenic 31 mile Madison County ride (can be shorted to 25 miles). B- Pace. Route is ~BGLEN-MarsHill 30 Detour, THIS IS A TEMPORARY DETOUR ROUTE.
Brevard PARI Silversteen 46, https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30670755. From Silvermont Mansion in Brevard ride to Rosman, then up toward the Blue Ridge Pkwy before cutting across Macedonia Ch Rd. Return to Rosman coming down Silversteen and US-64 then back to Brevard.
Beech Glen Community Center
This is the same ride as the B- ride at 9:30, just leaving 15 minutes later and traveling at a C pace through beautiful and lightly trafficked Madison County roads. This is different than the Beech Glen loops we often do so please have the route downloaded. We will probably stop at at Camden‘s Coffee Shop in Mars Hill.
Ride starts at Trailside Brewing in Hendersonville. Gentle rolling hills on the first half, with some hills in the second half. Climb Bald Rock Rd to the end of Worlds Edge Road, then turn around and return to Hendersonville via Oleta Rd.

Starting near New Belgium brewery in Asheville, this is a beautiful ride through Leicester. The first mile or two on Emma road is a little busy, but after that on mostly quiet country roads. There is definitely some climbing, but some nice downhills as well.
Parking lot 2, Antler Hill Village on the Biltmore Estate
You must have a Biltmore Annual Pass,or be in a car with someone who has an annual pass. The Biltmore allows passholders to bring in guests after 5 pm.
Although we will ride on both gravel and paved roads, this ride is meant for gravel-ready bikes. No road bikes.This will be a low mileage casual ride (probably about 15 miles).
Epic Cycles - Hendersonville
Starting Tuesday, April 30th, every Tuesday evening until the end of August, Epic Cycles and BRBC will be hosting an evening ride. Meet at 5:30pm at Epic Cycles – ride starts at 6pm. These rides are open to everyone.
Intersection of Old CCC and Sky Valley Roads.
The ride will be at an easy pace and include Hookers Creek and Rocky Ridge trails. We will regroup as needed. Plan on 13 miles, 1500 feet of climbing and 2 hours of ride (moving) time.
Less hilly route through Weaverville beginning from Alexander River Park. Starting May 13th we will lose a number of routes in this area due to bridge work, let‘s get one in while we can!
This is a casual paced no drop Advanced gravel ride in Pisgah Nat’l Forest. It is called Advanced as there are some steep hills and a single track section. These are all rideable and will give you a challenge while sharpening your bike handling skills.
Bill Moore (Fletcher) Community Park
Please RSVP so i know how many to plan for. For anyone with a busy Saturday, this ride will leave at 6:30AM from Fletcher park. It goes over Terry‘s gap out to N. Henderson HS and back down Howard Gap. This time of the morning has little traffic and beautiful views as the sun comes up over Apple Valley. We‘ll regroup in front of the High School and stay as together as possible down the short section of 64 and Howard Gap.

Rice Pinnacle Parking Area, Bent Creek
Ride starts at Rice Pinnacle Mountain Parking Lot in Bent Creek Forest. It is an out and back course with multiple options to turn around.
The route climbs to and crosses the Blue Ridge Parkway then descends to Avery Creek Campground (water available here) before ascending to Hwy 276.
Note: Carry ample water and food as this area is remote. Cell service is spotty. You should be self contained for any repairs or emergencies.
Helmets are required. Obey all traffic signs, signals and laws.
Start at Etowah Ingles (Park is busy), loop up through Fletcher then Hendersonville. Then down to Brevard and Rosman, before returning to Etowah Ingles.

This is a route of small rolling hills through Mills River and Etowah. There is a Bloody Mary Bar at the brewery for after ride enjoyment.

World’s Edge Road ride

We climb over Terry’s Gap, Gilliam Mountain and explore the World’s Edge Road (pretty view!)
We will likely have a couple levels of riding speeds.

The BRBC is growing. Some members may not be familiar with the bicycle rider‘s "Rules of the Road" or uncomfortable cycling with others. The purpose of these clinics is to educate our members and build confidence to comfortably cycle with friends, family, and participate in club rides.
Zwift Group Ride. This will be a social/recovery pace virtual ride. The group will be "banded" so we will all stay together regardless of FTP/effort. Late join is allowed (up to 30 minutes late). Come join for all or part of the ride. We will be exploring Makuri Island and elevation is mild (probably 1100‘ for the 120 minutes).

ETW Not So Hard River Ramble Lite, https://ridewithgps.com/routes/11855761. A rather flat ride along the French Broad River from Etowah to Brevard and back.

This is a scenic ride with Pisgah Forest sections on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Hwy 276 and Hwy 215. Headlight and taillights are required for the BRP tunnels and/or fog. One of the club‘s favorite rides with beautiful scenery as we ride along Lake Logan past Sunburst Falls then up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once on the BRB we ride for approximately 10 miles before a screaming descent on Hwy. 215 back to Canton.
Water & Food – there are no store stops or bathroom options other than trees. At 13 miles, there is a natural spring on the right side of the road. Options: two water bottles and a camelback or, a 3rd bottle in your back pocket.
Reminder – cyclists must ride single file on the Blue Ridge Parkway, other than when passing. In the tunnel, switch your flashing headlight to a solid shine. The flashing in a tunnel is a challenge for some cyclists.

The Assault on Mt. Mitchell is a 102.7-mile self-paced ride from Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina, along the Blue Ridge Parkway, to the summit at Mt. Mitchell State Park in North Carolina—a total vertical ascent of 11,100 feet.

This ride follows a flat route on some "non-standard" roads to Rosman then attacks the Walnut Hollow "easy" side and the Illahee Road climb on the return to Oskar Blues.
